Episode 01: Penny Williams, Blush Beauty
Penny Williams is the founder of Blush Beauty, she finds meaning in her work by helping people be the best, most radiant version of themselves! It had always been a dream of Penny's to work with beauty since she was 6 and was given some of her cousins makeup. She is passionate about beauty not being frivolous but a source of goodness and happiness. She works with brides to be on the weddings and other events including photoshoots.
Penny is also an accomplished artist who re-found her love of painting during lockdown, and created a business selling her work on social media when the pandemic struck in March 2020 and the events industry ground to a halt. She went deeper into her creative process when she started to explore movement through abstract art. Here she talks about how she channels her energy through painting and sees the brushstrokes before she paints which gives her a sense of someone else actually doing the painting.
In this podcast Penny talks about her early life as an academic and applying to Cambridge, working in PR for beauty & fashion and as a journalist and then being a primary school teacher where she changed some of her students lives.
Throughout Penny's life there has been moments when she has trusted herself to make instant decisions using her intuition. Through listening to herself she has been able to see her path and know what to do when faced with adversity. Penny is an inspiring and courageous woman.
